Environment Minister Yadav pledges to free Nepal from plastic pollution

KATHMANDU: Minister for Forests and Environment Pradeep Yadav has expressed his commitment to free Nepal from plastic pollution. At a workshop organised by the South Asia Cooperative Environment Programme (SACEP) to liberate the rivers and seas of the South Asian countries from plastic pollution, Minister Yadav said he was effortful to free Nepal from plastic pollution. "Plastic-induced pollution is one of the major problems in recent days. We should not make any delay in exploring its solution", the Environment Minister said. He informed that the ministry has issued a directive to strictly implement the ban on plastic having breadth below 40 microns. Also on the occasion, he shared that the ministry has planned to do further works to make the country free of plastic pollution.
