Everest Bank inaugurates 122nd branch at Birauta in Pokhara

KATHMANDU: Everest Bank has inaugurated its 122nd branch at Birauta in Pokhara Metropolitan City, Kaski district. The bank opened the new branch in its efforts to provide modern banking facilities to large and well-spread-out sections of society. Ganesh Gurung, Planning expert and former member of the National Planning Commission, and Vijay Kumar Sharma, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Everest Bank jointly inaugurated the branch at Birauta amid a special function in presence of Paban Prajapati, President-Pokhara Udhyog Banijya Sangh; Lieutenant Colonel Shasank Tripathi-OIC Pension Paying Office Pokhara; Sudhir Gautam, Provincial Manager Gandaki Province Everest Bank; Puspa Raj Uprety, Head Marketing and Institutional Deposit Department Everest Bank; and various other dignitaries of the society. With the inauguration of new branch, there are now a total of 12 branches in Gandaki Province. During the inauguration ceremony, Gurung underscored that the EBL's joint venture with India's Punjab National Bank was the strength. He said thousands of Nepalese working in India can take advantage of financial transactions through EBL, one of the banks trusted by the Government. EBL presently has a customer base of over 1.2 million, one of the highest in the industry. Presently the bank is rendering professionalised and efficient banking services through its wide domestic network of 122 branches, three extension counters, 157 ATMs, 32 revenue collection counters and also through its widest global network.
