FENEGOSIDA delegation meets Finance Minister Mahat

KATHMANDU: A delegation led by Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA) President Manik Ratna Shakya met with Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat at the latter's office in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, on Sunday. In the meeting, FENEGOSIDA President Shakya emphasized the role of gold and silver businesspersons in economic development. He urged the Finance Minister to take the initiative to solve the problems seen in gold and silver market. He drew the attention of Minister Mahat to the policy related to gold and silver business, supply of gold among other issues. In the meeting with the representatives of gold and silver businesspersons, Finance Minister Mahat stressed the need to work together for the economic development of the country. He pointed out the need for the government and private sector to move forward together for economic development. In the meeting, Finance Minister Mahat also asked to bring good plans and suggestions for economic development and change. He opined that it will not be difficult to develop faster if everyone moves forward together. He also expressed his commitment to taking the necessary initiatives to solve the problems seen in the gold and silver business. Also present in the meeting were Finance Secretary Arjun Prasad Pokharel, economic advisor Posh Raj Pandey and others.
