PHUNGLING: Flights at Suketar Airport in Taplejung district have been obstructed due to bad weather conditions and snowfall, according to Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).

As a result, flights to and from the district have been cancelled. As many as 14 passengers who booked tickets for Kathmandu have been stranded, said Lokendra Limbu, station in-charge of the NAC in Taplejung.

On Friday, flights at the airport were obstructed due to the deposition of snow on the runway, he said.

The NAC has been operating flights from the airport three days —Monday, Wednesday and Friday — a week.
