FM Khadka meets Indian counterpart, discusses issues of common concern

KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Khadka today held a meeting with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on the sidelines of the 18th Ministerial Meeting of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC). Minister Khadka is presently in Sri Lanka in course of attending the BIMSTEC meeting. During the meeting, the two discussed issues relating to Nepal-India ties, mutual interests and common concerns, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Besides, the ministers held discussions about Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s official visit to India on April 1. Meanwhile, India’s Minister for External Affairs Jaishankar on social media said that the meeting focused on promoting cooperation for India-Nepal connectivity, power trade, fertiliser supplies, and the energy and health sectors. As he said, they agreed to focus on taking forward the Ramayan circuit ahead. READ ALSO:
