KATHMANDU: Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) is set to organise 'Job Fair 2023' in Kathmandu, on May 30 and 31.
The job fair will take place at FNCCI Secretariat, Teku and will be inaugurated at 10:00 am on Tuesday.
The job fair is the federation's initiative to provide job opportunities to the youths who are searching for jobs through major companies, helping them to find new opportunities, and creating an environment for them to work in the country, including the identification of the necessary skills.
Job Fair is going to be organised with the support of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security and the International Labor Organization and technical assistance from the Employment Service Centre and Merojob.
The fair will be held in cooperation with Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Bhaktapur Municipality, Federation members — Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
More than 100 companies will participate in the job fair, and the goal is to welcome more than 5,000 youths who are searching for jobs, according to organisers. Various consultation sessions will be organised on employment, skills and manpower development.
FNCCI has a plan to organise the job fair as a calendar event every year.
