Government to unveil budget for FY 2023/24 today

KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat is set to unveil the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2023/24 at the joint session of the House of Representatives (HoR) and National Assembly at the Federal Parliament today. National Planning Commission (NPC) has fixed the budget size at Rs 1,688 billion which is nearly 9% larger than that of budget for the current fiscal year. As per the Economic Procedures and Financial Accountability Act, 2076, the NPC is required to set the budget ceiling by Magh 15 (end of January) each year. READ ALSO:
