PCR test no more mandatory for fully vaccinated people seeking medical treatment

KATHMANDU: Fully vaccinated people and those showing no symptoms of Covid 19 will no longer have to undergo PCR test for receiving medical care. However, a person seeking medical treatment has to submit the vaccination card as a formality to skip the PCR test The Ministry of Health and Population decided to remove the provision of undergoing a Covid 19 PCR test to seek medical treatment, according to Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, Joint Spokesperson at MOHP, Prior to this, patients who visited hospitals seeking medical treatment had to undergo PCR test compulsorily.
