KATHMANDU: Great Wall Motor (GWM) Nepal has launched its popular pickup truck Wingle 5 in the market.
This compact pickup truck built by Chinese automaker GWM has been marketed since December 2006.
This is the first pickup truck made in China to be sold in Australia and exported to overseas Market. GWM has been ahead of other brands in terms of pickup sales and strength, its pickup lineup remained top selling in China for many years.
Now available in Nepal, Wingle 5 comes with a new 2.0L turbo-diesel engine developing 105 kW (141 hp) and 305 Nm. The Wingle 5 is equipped with alloy wheels, radio, electric windows, leather-trimmed seats, rear differential lock, TPMS, and auto- air-conditioning as standard. The 2.0L engine features high efficiency, low fuel consumption and remarkable performance.
It has daytime running lamps (DRLs) with a stylish Grille design on the front. It also incorporates features such as turn indicators on the external side mirrors. It has a straightforward design with halogen lights and the cargo body has company-fitted bed liners to avoid scratches or any form of damage. Moreover, the alloy looks promising adding up enhancement to its exterior. The same can be said for the interiors, which look premium with a leather finish.
GWM Wingle 5 is available in three colours — Sky Silver, Pearl Black and Titanium White.
The introductory price for the truck has been set at Rs 5.249 million in the Nepali market.
