FHAN, Manushi, SOWA organise health check-up programme for women entrepreneurs

KATHMANDU: Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN), Manushi organisation and SOWA Health Care Centre jointly organised a one-day health check-up programme for women entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs and artists in Lalitpur. Manushi chairperson Padmasana Shakya inaugurated the programme organised on the occasion of International Labour Day. She opined that only healthy entrepreneurial women could contribute to the family, society and national economy. FHAN President Prachanda Shakya was of the view that women's participation in the handicraft sector of Nepal was high and they should be accountable to the society by giving priority to women's health. SOWA CEO Vipindra Pradhan informed that the health centre is providing quality services at concessional prices. Dr Tika Gurung and Dr Sanima Dangol conducted health check-ups and counselling for women during the programme. Around 100 women entrepreneurs underwent free health check-ups at the programme organised on the occasion of International Labour Day. SOWA offered 50% discount on various tests including labs and ultrasounds after free health check-ups. READ ALSO:
