Hyatt Place Kathmandu celebrates International Women’s Day

KATHMANDU: Hyatt Place Kathmandu organised a special event to celebrate the 112th International Women's Day, on March 8. Hyatt Place Kathmandu wholeheartedly believes that the well-being of women is the well-being of society. In order to keep these words into action, they organised the event to mark Women’s Day. Women from different walks of life gathered around to celebrate the day and shared inspirational stories of how each one of them was breaking biases to make their own place in society which left everyone emotional. [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="20791"] During the event, Varun Talwar, General Manager at Hyatt Place Kathmandu, emphasized the importance of women, how they can contribute towards gender equality and the hotel make a continuous effort to ensure that women have every opportunity to succeed. Moreover, keeping well-being and sustainability in mind, all the female colleagues were gifted menstrual cups along with other feminine hygiene products. A few male colleagues were asked questions related to women which triggered some important topics around gender equality and women's health in a fun way. Along with other activities, a short self-defence training session was also organised. One of the associates, Anjana, said, “I felt empowered and even closer to other female colleagues after this event”. The event ended with all amazing ladies wishing each other and enjoying lunch together. They seemed prouder and stronger than before. READ ALSO:
