KATHMANDU: Hyatt Regency Kathmandu on Friday formally signalled the beginning of its holiday celebration with the lighting of the Christmas tree, with luminaries, media friends and business partners from the city.
Decked with dazzling lights, traditional printed ornaments and glittering tinsels, the Christmas tree is befitting to be the focal point of the Grand Lobby.

This year's yuletide décor was curated by the hotel’s team under the guidance of the Director of Rooms, Pooja Ghosh, and the Director of Engineering, Baby Jose, who paid homage to the artistry of the Newari community. This is something the hotel has always championed as the true heart of Nepal.

The event kicked off with a welcome speech from General Manager Ashish Kumar to the tree lighting followed by Christmas carols. Soon after Santa Claus entered with a bag filled with goodies. Gourmet Christmas feasting was curated by Executive Chef Gopal Sethi for the event, displaying an array of delicacies for high tea.
A stellar display of festive treats right from assorted Bruschetta, Plum Cake, German Stollen Bread, Strawberry Pannacotta, Linzer Torte were laid out for the guests to taste.
