Hydropower project assists in developing community building in Myagdi

Myagdi: Super Ghalemdi Hydropower Project has provided Rs 1 million for the development of a community building in Narchyang village, Annapurna Rural Municipality-4 in Myagdi district.  The village is one of the sites affected by the project. Hydropower project's Managing Director Man Prasad Kandel and promoter Abhishek KC on Thursday provided the amount to the chairman of Annapurna Youth Club for the construction of a community building. The amount was handed over in the presence of local levels' representatives, project's officials and local residents. Managing Director Kandel said that the project was supporting the people in the affected areas as part of corporate social responsibility. The project with the capacity of 9.14 megawatts is run of the river type. The affected communities will get 10 per cent of the company's share.
