
KATHMANDU: The companies promoted by IME Group, Global IME Bank, IGI Prudential Insurance, IME Life Insurance and IME Ltd, and IME Foundation decided to provide Rs 15 million in monetary assistance for people affected by the earthquake.
The companies will deposit the amount in the Prime Minister Disaster Rescue Fund under their corporate social responsibility (CSR) for the purpose of rescue and relief distribution in the affected areas of Jajarkot, and Rukum (West) districts, according to a press statement issued by the IME Group.
The earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale with its epicentre in Jajarkot at 11:47 pm on Friday resulted in significant casualties and property damage in the districts of Karnali Province.
Moreover, IME Group and IME Foundation will provide additional relief assistance in coordination with local administration.
IME Group Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal recalled that during the massive earthquake and pandemic, IME Group had mobilised for the rescue and immediate relief distribution and said this time too, they have mobilised for all possible support.
