Industry Minister Bhandari vows to help grow industrial sector

KAILALI: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari has said the government is moving ahead with a determination to transform national challenges into opportunities. He said that the government was serious about the promotion of the industrial sector. During a programme organised by the Kailali Chamber of Commerce & Industry in his honour today in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City, Minister Bhandari said cooperation from the private sector will be sought to revive some of the sick industries. Minister Bhandari opined that more areas of industrial potentialities should be explored with a focus on the Sudurpaschim Province for new achievements ahead.  He stated that prompt service delivery was the priority of the government and assured that the incumbent government would reflect its dedication to good governance in its policies and actions. Further, the Industry Minister said that subordinate bodies under the Ministry had been already directed to explore and asses specific potentialities in specific areas. “Darchula has copper and lead mining, Baitadi has iron mining and other districts may have other potentialities and we have prioritised these possibilities,” he said. According to the minister, a dry port based in Dodhara Chandani of Kanchanpur district will be brought into operation soon. Meanwhile, the observation of the dry port will take place in the presence of the Prime Minister on February 13 while the remaining construction works will be completed soon. READ ASLO:
