Jaynagar-Kurtha railway service to operate extra trips for pilgrims for 3 days

JANAKPURDHAM: Nepal Railway Company has decided to add more trips to Jaynagar-Kurtha railway service for three days from Nov 7. Extra trips have been added considering the huge influx of pilgrims coming to bathe in Kamala River on the occasion of Kartik Purnima. The company has announced that the untimely train services will be operated on November 7, 8 and 9 for the convenience of the passengers. Nepal Railway Company Managing Director Niranjan Kumar Jha has issued a notice stating that the untimely service will be operated from Jayanagar to Janakpur for the convenience of the pilgrims who come to bathe in Kamala River. During the Kartik Purnima, a large number of pilgrims from various places in Nepal and India flock to  Kamala River. Of the under-construction 70-kilometre railway line from Jayanagar to Bardibas in Mahottari, the rail service has been in operation in the 35-km section from Jaynagar to Kurtha regularly since its inauguration eight months ago. The train service has been running regularly as per the schedule. The train leaves for Kurtha from Jayanagar at 8:30 am and 3:00 pm, while another train leaves for Jaynagar from Kurtha at 10:30 am and 5:15 pm. It has been assumed that once the train starts operating regularly, tourism, religious sites will develop and the export of local products will increase. By RSS READ ALSO:
