Johnnie Walker 18 years launched

A A- A+
Johnnie Walker 18 Years has been launched in Nepal. It is an indulgent blend of up to 18 different whiskies each chosen for their remarkable depth of flavour and character and was previously known as Johnnie Walker Platinum Label. The new name and luxury packaging celebrate the blend’s credentials as the best 18-year-old blended Scotch whisky ever created by Johnnie Walker, maker of the world’s best-selling Scotch. “The great whiskies I’ve chosen for this blend have matured through at least 18 cold winters and warm summers. It’s a long time to wait, but it’s worth it,” said Master Blender Jim Beveridge as he re-launched Johnnie Walker’s award-winning 18-year-old blended Scotch whisky. It is hand-crafted by Jim Beveridge – twice voted Master Blender of the Year2 – who sought out the ultimate combination of complex and smooth 18-year-old whiskies drawn from the main whisky producing regions of Scotland. Guy Escolme, Johnnie Walker Global Brand Director, said: “We have unrivalled reserves of maturing whiskies which gives our blenders a palette of flavours unmatched by any other whisky maker and makes it possible to create a blend of this quality. Jim Beveridge said: «This whisky is bursting with intense sweet fruit flavors and aromas, with just a gentle wisp of smoke. It embodies the classic Johnnie Walker style of blending, striking the perfect balance between distillery character and the influence of casks over time. Best savored neat or on the rocks, Johnnie Walker 18 Years has rich sweet fruit aromas along with toffee caramel, vanilla and a hint of smoke. It is warming and sweet on the palate with dark fruits, malty cereal, smooth creamy vanilla, fragrant almonds and tangerines, and a gentle smoke developing. A lingering finish brings notes of dark chocolate, caramelized citrus peel and very light smoke.
