Jyoti Bikash Bank celebrates 14th anniversary

KATHMANDU: Jyoti Bikash Bank on Monday celebrated its 14th anniversary by organising various programmes at the central office in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu. The celebration ceremony saw the presence of board members, former directors, employees and customers. [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="26692,26693"] Founder chairman and shareholder of the bank, Dhruba Kumar Upreti, and founder shareholder and former chairman Dhruba Raj Bhattarai were also present on the occasion. On the occasion, the bank has also launched Jyoti Video Banking. Under this medium, in the first phase, Video KYC was released with a service that allows open accounts online that come into operation immediately without reaching the bank. With this, Nepali nationals who have been living abroad can also open accounts online. On the occasion of the 14th anniversary, Jyoti Bikash Bank also organised a blood donation programme, in which employees, customers and other general public participated. Employees who have served in the bank for 10 years were also been honoured. Chairman of the bank, Hari Chandra Khadka and Chief Executive Officer Shreechandra Bhatta jointly awarded medals and certificates to the staff. At the ceremony, Jyoti Bikash Bank entered into an agreement with Radha Paudel Foundation (RPF) for cooperation in projects based on "Limited Menstruation" awareness through "Hamro Bikash Pravardhan Kosh" established for the purpose of corporate social responsibility (CSR). CEO Bhatta and founder of RPF, Radha Paudel, signed the agreement. At the initial stage, the bank under CSR has pledged to provide Rs 500,000. Addressing the ceremony, Chairman Khadka expressed his sincere gratitude to all those who contributed to making the bank's 14-year journey successful and called for continuous support in the future as well. He expressed his commitment to providing more excellent facilities and quality banking services in the days to come. Likewise, CEO Bhatta expressed his commitment that the bank would continue to bring prosperity to the lives of all citizens by developing the bank into a strong, powerful and vibrant institution while remaining under its original purpose, vision, goals and values. On the occasion of the anniversary, Jyoti Bikash Bank also inaugurated its 119th branch in Dallu, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15. Former chairman of the bank and founding shareholder Upreti and chairman Khadka jointly inaugurated the branch. The bank launched a new branch with the aim of further expanding banking access and delivering its services to customers. Jyoti Bikash Bank has been providing banking services through 119 branches, three extension counters and 65 ATMs within and outside Kathmandu valley. READ ALSO:
