KAHS, Canadian university ink agreement to cooperate

KARNALI: Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) in Jumla district and Memorial University Newfoundland in Canada have entered into an agreement for bilateral cooperation in the area of health services, education and research. Vice-Chancellor of KAHS, Dr Mangal Rawal, and Vice-President of Memorial University, Margaret Steele, on last Tuesday signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) to work together in various areas of cooperation for five years. After the agreement, the faculty members will coordinate efforts in exchange of various publications, research materials, students, information and research materials among others, according to KAHS. Administrative support and capacity building related projects will be implemented in both institutions as per the agreement that is valid up to five years and extension on the MoU could be considered with the consent of both parties.
