KJIF 2016: Annual Job Fair at KUSOM

KUSOM Job and Internship Fair (KJIF), organised by the Placement Cell of Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM), is an annual event which acts as a bridge between the students of KUSOM and leading companies of Nepal. It aims to give students a platform to connect with the company of their choice, and also provides employers an opportunity to explore the talent pool of KUSOM. The event is built upon the idea of reaping maximum benefits from the amalgamation of both the corporate and the academic world in the country. Since its inception in 2011, the event has been receiving overwhelming responses from more than 30 participating companies as well as the students of KUSOM. The event has been consistent in achieving its mission of establishing connections; this has been reflected in the success rate of the interview and the feedback. For the year 2015, 27 out of 35 students who registered for the program were called for a second round of interview. This year, KJIF 2016 was held on 13 September on the premises of KUSOM. Approximately 100 candidates and 18 participating companies met on common ground. Candidates went through rigorous interview sessions conducted by the various company representatives. Beed Management, Triveni Byapar Company, Total Business Institute, GP Trading, Sipradi Trading, CAS Trading House, NIC ASIA Bank, Laxmi Group, United Distributor Nepal, KGH Group of Hotels and Resorts, Laxmi Bank, Berger Jenson & Nicholson Nepal, MC Group of Companies, Sanima Bank and Nimbus Holdings were the participating companies. Among the candidates who applied for internships this year, 80 percent have already been confirmed while the others are being called for further rounds of interviews.
