KMC bans outdoor advertising

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City has banned outdoor advertising citing that it is making the capital city ugly. The KMC has issued a notice saying that its attention has been drawn towards the use of outdoor advertising through hoarding/digital boards and other means without acquiring permission and even after the expiry of the licensed period. The metropolis has urged all concerned to remove such advertisements with effect from Wednesday. Even an order by High Court, Patan has banned such advertisements, adds the notice. KMC spokesperson Naveen Manandhar said that the municipal police will stop any outdoor advertisement carried out defying the notice. READ ALSO:
