Kumari Job collaborates with MDF for trash collection race

KATHMANDU: Kumari Job and Maina Devi Foundation (MDF) have joined hands for 'Kathmandu Trash Collection Race 2022', an event scheduled to take place in Kathmandu, on April 23. Kumari Job and Maina Devi Foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding this. With the agreement, Kumari job has become the official career partner for the event. Sandesh Bhandari, Managing Director of Kumari job, said, “We are glad to be a part of Kathmandu Trash Collection Race 2022. In fact, we all should join hands for such noble causes where environmental issues are of concern. Youths are an indispensable part of such events. Likewise, Nepal’s employment sector is in need of such conscious and active youths." Bhandari himself being a young entrepreneur is quite well aware of these kinds of partnerships which are needed every once in a while. Kathmandu Trash Collection Race 2022 is a one-day event where participants will have to run six kilometres in 90 minutes and collect trash while running. The participants are required to make five teams with two members in each team. The team collecting the most trash within the given time will be announced as the winner. KP Khanal, Chairperson of Maina Devi Foundation and a social activist said, "I want to thank Kumari job for joining hands for this noble cause. As a social activist, I strongly believe that we should all come together to clean our city and it is possible to keep the city clean. We should all come together for this." Anyone can register for free via the PayWell app. The race is scheduled to start at 7:00 am, on Saturday, April 23 from Imperial Business College, Hattisar and winners will get a chance to win a cash prize of 50,000.
