Lumbini Province government presents budget of Rs 42.63 billion

RUPANDEHI: Lumbini Province government has presented a budget of 42.63 billion for the fiscal year 2022/23. Lumbini Province Minister for Economic Affairs and Cooperatives, Krishna Dhwaj Khadka, presented the budget at the meeting of the Province Assembly held on Wednesday. In the budget, Rs 13.32 billion has been allocated for current expenditure and Rs 24.47 billion for capital expenditure. Minister Khadka said that the budget was prepared keeping agriculture, health, education and physical infrastructure in priority to fulfil the dream of making Lumbini a self-dependent province. A total of Rs 4.83 billion has been allocated for fiscal equalisation grant, matching grant, conditional grant and fiscal transfer at the local level through special grant. The share of fiscal transfer has been proposed to 11.33% of the total budget, added Minister Khadka. By RSS
