Lumbini Province policies and programmes passed by a majority

LUMBINI: The Province Assembly meeting of Lumbini Province passed the policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2023/241 by a majority. The policies and programnes was passed by the majority of the PA members in the 10th meeting held on Tuesday. Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, on behalf of the provincial government, tabled a proposal seeking passage of the policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2023/24. Speaker Tularam Gharti presented the government's proposal for a decision before the PA, and it was passed on the basis of a voice vote. Earlier, the ruling MPs defended the policies and programmes while members of opposition parties criticised them. In Tuesday's meeting, five provincial members had registered amendment proposals to the government's policies and programmes which was rejected by a majority. Also at the meeting, Minister for Economic Affairs Dhan Bahadur Maski presented the economic survey for the FY 2023/24. The 11th meeting of the Provincial Assembly will be held at 3:00 pm on June 16.
