MAW Earthmovers unveils telematics system

MAW Earthmovers, dealers for JCB Earthmoving and Construction Equipment in Nepal, has recently unveiled the JCB LiveLink for the first time in Nepal. According to the company, JCB LiveLink is an advanced telematics technology which has been designed to monitor machines and help JCB customers get the best possible value and performance of their equipment. “The system provides information on service, operation and security (SOS) of JCB machines” said Vishnu Kumar Agarwal, Chairman, MAW Earthmovers adding, “It can be retrofitted in already operational JCB Backhoe Loaders.”

According to the company, one of the key benefits of the system is the protection from theft as it allows the machine to be tracked and located if stolen. Customers and dealers can monitor machine hours, fuel economy and usage data as well as receive health alerts with all these features being accessed through a simple website or via a mobile phone through SMS alerts.
