Medical colleges allowed to set up Covid 19 vaccine centres

KATHMANDU: The government has granted permission to all the medical colleges in the country to operate Covid 19 vaccine centres on their premises.

According to Joint-Spokesperson Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari at the Ministry of Health and Population, the government has also given authority to the private hospitals above 50-beds to set up Covid 19 vaccine centres.

The medical colleges and the private hospital having over 50 beds can coordinate with the public health institutions in the respective districts to provide vaccination services to the citizens of Nepal above 18 years.

The Ministry of Health and Population has urged the members of public to get administered from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at their nearest vaccine centre depending on the availability of the vaccines.
