MetLife holds insurance awareness programmes in five districts

KATHMANDU: MetLife organised information sessions on life insurance in five districts last week, helping around 600 people to learn about the benefits of getting an insurance policy. The sessions were conducted in Nepalgunj, Tikapur, Dhangadi, Bhojpur, Kaski and Jumla. The special insurance awareness programme helps people to develop an emergency strategy to navigate through the majority of their financial difficulties without jeopardising their long-term interests. Life insurance is crucial to this backup plan because it offers financial protection to families in the event of any unforeseen circumstances, such as natural calamities or life-threatening illnesses. Getting a life insurance plan also helps them resume their normal lives after an unfortunate event. MetLife has been operating in Nepal since 2001 as a branch of American Life Insurance Company, incorporated in the USA, subsidiary of MetLife, Inc.
