KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has reconnected Chainpur of Bajhang, Sanphe of Achham and Dipayal of Doti through its flight service. The destinations located in western Nepal were included in NAC's regular flight service as Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Prem Bahadur Ale had directed the national flag carrier to do so. At present, the NAC has been operating its regular flights for Chainpur, Sanphe and Dipayal airports twice a week (Monday and Friday) while the service for Bajura is based on the number of aspiring passengers, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) chief for Dhangadhi-based Geta Airport, Ram Krishna Bhatta, It said the service resumption has caused convenience for the passengers, which resulted in the increment in their numbers as compared to the past. NAC had suspended its services to the hilly districts of Sudurpashim and Karnali provinces sometime ago citing a lack of passengers and aircraft. However, the private airline companies used to arrange occasional flights on a need basis. NAC has however yet to reach Patan Airport in Baitadi with its service.  Summit Air, a private airline, has been operating flights to Patan Airport. NAC executive officer Yuba Raj Adhikari has said homework is underway to operate regular flights to other hilly districts in Sudurpaschim Province. (With inputs from RSS) READ ALSO:
