A A- A+
KATHMANDU: Nanglo has reopened The Chinese Room, a restaurant, at a new location in Durbar Marg. The Chinese Room has a 54-seating capacity and a full-scale bar. The restaurant's new menu includes well-loved dishes they have been serving along with new flavours from Sichuan cuisine. The Chinese Room has been a favourite eatery for generations. On the reopening of the restaurant, Chairman of the company, Gopal Sunder Lal Kakshapati commented, "The Chinese Room has been serving delicious food at affordable prices to all, for about half a century. It is a true privilege to have been able to cater to our customers for all these years. With immense joy, we announce the re-opening of our restaurant.' The Chinese Room is owned by Nanglo, one of the oldest and leading restaurant companies in Nepal. It was originally started by two brothers — late Shyam Kakshapati and Gopal Kakshapati, in 1973. Their first venture was a cafe at Ratna Park. A few years later, in 1976, they relocated to Durbar Marg to open the Nanglo Café & Pub and subsequently The Chinese Room in 1978. The restaurant is open seven days a week, from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. READ ALSO:
