NATTA conducts joint meeting with Tourism Minister

Nepal Association of Travels and Tours Agent (NATTA) conducted a joint meeting with Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Bhattarai, Tourism Secretary along with NATTA Past President Council and executive members on September 4 at Hotel Shangri-la. During the meeting, NATTA gave seven point suggestions to the minister to make VNY 2020 campaign successful. Chairman of NATTA urged the government to make the information system of the country more advanced by providing online visa fees. They suggested that the air fare should be minimised, and urged the Minister to make provisions to operate Tribhuwan International Airport for 24 hrs. NATTA also stressed on improvements needed in the airport for parking, trolley, toilets, telephone and hygiene. NATTA also asked the minister to initiate construction work of Nijjgadh Airport as soon as possible and complete the construction works of Pokhara and Bhairahawa airport on schedule. They also demanded standardisation and upgradation of Biratnagar and Dhangadi airports.

Issues for the development of tourist bus terminal and reduction of tax and VAT were also raised.
