NCC concludes corporate golf tourney held to promote tourism

KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) concluded a corporate golf tournament organised with the aim to promote tourism in the country. 'Nepal Chamber Golf Tournament' was organised at the Royal Nepal Golf Club in Sinamangal, Kathmandu with the participation of industrialists from the private sector. Addressing the closing programme of the tournament, NCC President Rajendra Malla expressed his opinion that golf tournaments should be organised to promote tourism in the country. He said, "Through corporate golf, entrepreneurs of the country can be connected at a place. I believe the golf tournament also plays an important role in promoting domestic and international tourism.' He said that golf should be made widespread as it helps in mental health along with physical development and entertainment. He informed that NCC will give continue to organise golf tournaments in collaboration with Royal Nepal Golf Club next year as well. Royal Nepal Golf Club President Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha said the Club, which has a history of more than 100 years, is ready to cooperate with NCC, the oldest organisation of the private sector. On the occasion, NCC President Mall honoured the winners of the competition held on Saturday. The winners were Nitim Mani Rajbhandari who finished with the highest score of 40 on the men's side, and Arsia Banu with a score of 32 on the women's side. Similarly, among the players invited by NCC, Kishore Basnet, Assistant Manager of Kantipur national daily, finished with a score of 35. READ ALSO:
