NCC lays emphasis on practical implementation of policies and programmes

KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) is confident that the policies and programs for the next fiscal year presented at the Federal Parliament will be result-oriented. President Ramchandra Paudel presented the government’s annual policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2023/24, at the joint meeting of the House of Representatives and National Assembly of the Federal Parliament, on Friday. NCC has demanded the practical implementation of policies and programmes at a time when the internal economy of the country is at risk. The Chamber has also drawn the attention of the government to address the issues included in the policies and programmes through the budget. "Policies and programmes has not been able to adequately address the current economic recession and contraction in investment," a statement issued by the NCC read. The chamber suggested the budget for the next fiscal year should maintain economic sustainability. NCC President Rajendra Malla said the policies and programmes has partly addressed the demands of the private sector. "He emphasized implementing policies and programmes to make the production-oriented programme, industrial development and public-private partnerships concept effective. NCC has also suggested that the government implement the ambitious plans announced in the policies and programmes. Further, the private sector's organisation said the annual policies and programmes should establish a foundation for economic development. NCC President Malla said that it is positive that the government has a plan to cut back on unnecessary spending. READ ALSO:
