NCC Officials meet Vice President Yadav

KATHMANDU: A delegation of officials from the Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) met with Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, on Monday. The NCC delegation visited the Office of the Vice President in Lainchaur, Kathmandu and offered congratulations and wishes for a successful tenure. On the occasion, NCC President Rajendra Malla opined that the economy could not gain momentum due to lack of effective coordination of budget and monetary policy. He said the economic activities could not return to normalcy as capital expenditure could not be made in time. He also mentioned that entrepreneurs, businesspersons and borrowers have been affected due to high-interest rates and demanded the implementation of interest rate lock-up system in loans. Moreover, he stressed that government services should be made efficient by applying time-bound targets in various departments including revenue, passport, and transport management. On behalf of private sector, NCC President Rajendra Malla urged Vice President Yadav to play a coordinating role in economic development and prosperity. He emphasized the need for continued cooperation between the government and the private sector.
