NEA to instal underground transmission line from Parsa National Park to Gadhimai

BIRGUNJ: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is set to continue with installation of 33kV underground power transmission line from Parsa National Park to Gadhimai via Piluwa of Bara district. It has long been stalled. Further works will advance in the construction of transmission line after the Ministry of Forests and Environment permits Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) for the construction in the National Park area as part of the ongoing construction of 132-kV power transmission line. The Ministry has allowed NEA for the construction of 33kV underground power transmission line as per the latter's demand. According to Minister Pradeep Yadav, a transmission line will be constructed by fully adhering to the conditions set by the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation. Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) central member and Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Subodh Kumar Gupta expressed his confidence that power supply will be smooth for the industries of Bara and Parsa after the construction of the underground transmission line.
