KATHMANDU: Remittance inflows amounted to Rs 480.50 billion in the first five months of the current fiscal year 2022/23, according to data released by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB).
The inflow amount is an increase of 23.0% against a decrease of 6.3% in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
In US Dollar terms, remittance inflows increased 13.1% to 3.71 billion in the period of five months ending mid-December 2022.
Net transfer increased 21.6% to Rs 530.06 billion in the review period. Such a transfer had decreased 5.3% in the same period of the previous year.
