Nepse index gains 54.12 points on Thursday; closed at 2,857.75

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index closed at 2,857.75 after gaining 54.12 points today. Similarly, the Sensitive Index, which measures the turnover of large companies, rose by 8.94 points to 530.83 points. A total of 11,834,216 shares of 224 companies were traded today. The total turnover stood at more than Rs. 6.66 billion. After today's trading, the market capitalisation has reached Rs 4,037,127.22 million. Of the 13 trading subgroups, only listed under others witnessed a decline in share price. Banking witnessed a rise by 9.87 points, Trading by 83.45 points, Hotel And Tourism 35.69, Development Bank 147.65, HydroPower 158.47, Finance 92.59, Non Life Insurance 288.56, Manufacturing and Production 127. 33, Microfinance 174.34, Life Insurance 349.61, Mutual Fund 0.15 and investment 3.05 points. Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower tops the list in terms of turnover. The company had a turnover of more than Rs 343.143 million. Similarly, Api Power Company had a turnover of more than Rs 232.33 million, Nepal Infrastructure Bank had more than Rs 222.91 million while Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company had a turnover of more than Rs 219.46. According to Nepse, Middle Bhotekoshi Hydropower Company gained 9.98%, Mountain Hydro 9.44%, Karnali Development Bank 9.35%, Shivashree Hydropower 9.01% and ICFC Finance 8.54%. Likewise, Investors in Nabil Debenture lost 2.03%, NIC Asia Select Fund 1.41%, Narayani Development Bank 1.19%, Rastriya Bima Company 1% and Standard Chartered Bank lost 0.99%. READ ALSO:
