NICCI holds 26th, 27th annual general meetings

KATHMANDU: Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) organised its 26th and 27th annual general meetings (AGMs) on Thursday. The inaugural session of the AGMs was also held on the occasion. Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka was the chief guest on the occasion. [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="24013,24012,24011,24009"] The keynote speaker and special guest of honour for the event was Suresh Prabhu, Member of Parliament and former Union Cabinet Minister of Power, Railway, Commerce and Industry, India. The title of Prabhu's speech was 'Enhancing Nepal-India Energy and Connectivity Partnership for Mutual Growth'.  Similarly, Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority Kul Man Ghising also spoke on 'Nepal-India Energy Partnership – Past, Present and Future'. [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="24006,24007,24008"] A special address was also made by guest speaker, former Ambassador of India to Nepal and former Patron of NICCI, Ranjit Rae on 'India’s Role in Nepal’s Sustainable Economy'. Other key persons who spoke about the importance of bilateral trade relations between the two neighbouring countries were Shekhar Golchha, President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI); Vishnu Kumar Agarwal, President of Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI); and Rajendra Malla, President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC). [gallery columns="1" link="file" size="full" ids="24010"] On the occasion, names of the newly elected members of the executive committee of NICCI were also announced. [gallery columns="2" link="file" size="full" ids="24014,24015"] Shreejana Rana has been elected again as the president of the chamber.
