KATHMANDU: Norvic International Hospital based in Kathmandu will extend the services provided by its IVF and Fertility Centre to Biratnagar Metropolitan City, the capital of Province 1. According to Ajay Kumar Mishra, Chief Executive Officer of Norvic International Hospital, construction of IVF centre has been started in Biratnagar. A well-equipped Norvic IVF will be operated in Shanihat area in the metropolis. The international hospital in Kathmandu brought into operation the IVF and Fertility centre with the first genetic lab in Nepal with state-of-the-art facilities and technology at the beginning of July last year. The quality of service at the IVF and Fertility Centre in Norvic is greatly appreciated by the clients. The hospital's CEO Mishra informed that the service, which is limited to Kathmandu, is being expanded to other places as per the demand of the service recipients. Meanwhile, the IVF team based in Kathmandu will provide services in Biratnagar, he informed. The Thapathali-based hospital uses the latest equipment and technologies that have been practised in the world recently and the same standard of service will also be available in Biratnagar. It has been noted that other IVF centres in the country do not have genetic lab facilities. However, the IVF centre at Norvic has a lab with pre-genetic diagnosis services that diagnose hereditary diseases. The IVF centre diagnoses the condition of a healthy foetus and implants it. This service helps eliminate the risk of various hereditary diseases in children prior to their birth. READ ALSO:
