NRNA provides relief items to Kanchanpur flood survivors

MAHENDRANAGAR: The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has provided relief materials to 75 households affected by floods in Bhimdattanagar Municipality-13 of Kanchanpur district. The assistance was provided on Monday.

NRNA Chairperson Bhuwan Pant arrived in Bhimdattanager to distribute the relief amount. “Seventy-five households suffering from the disaster were provided the relief materials,” said local coordinator of the NRNA, Madhav Prasad Joshi, who is also the former vice-chair of Chamber of Commerce Kanchanpur.

The relief materials worth Rs 8 million were distributed to the disaster-hit families, said the relief distribution coordinator of NRNA, Manoj Gorkhali.

The NRNA is also distributing the relief amount to the households near the banks of rivers in Bhimdattanagar and Dodhara Chandani today.

In the first round, 300 poor families suffering the floods and inundation were provided with the relief materials like tarpaulin sheets, clothes, and foodstuffs.
