Kathmandu: The pharmaceutical companies Pfizer and BioNTech Thursday urged the US Food and Drug Administration to approve the Pfizer–BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for children between the ages of five and 11.
Currently, the vaccine is cleared for adults and children aged 12 years and older.
Should the FDA approve the request for emergency authorisation, a supply could be ready to administer next month, CNN live broadcast on twitter showed.
