PM Dahal, Indian PM Modi jointly inaugurate Bathnaha-Budhnagar railway

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi jointly inaugurated the railway from Bathnaha (India) to Budhnagar (Nepal) today. They inaugurated the railway from Indian PM Modi's Office, Hyderabad House, by raising green flags. With the green flag inauguration by the two Prime Ministers, the Indian side saw off the cargo rail from Bathnaha, while Nepali government officials will welcome it at Budhnagar. The cargo rail to reach the Integrated Customs Check Post, Biratnagar has ferried raw materials for some industries. The entrepreneurs and industrialists in Koshi Province were demanding the government facilitate the cargo transportation up to the Integrated Customs Check Post, Biratnagar from Bathnaha. The eight-kilometre railway tested for operation on October 25, 2018 was ready. It was tested again on Wednesday for the operation. With the inauguration, the railway will be operative regularly.
