KATHMANDU: President Ramchandra Paudel has said the sectors facing challenges have witnessed positive results with the policy and reform measures the government put in place.
The government's policies and programmes for the next fiscal year 2023/24 at the joint meeting of the House of Representatives and National Assembly of the Federal Parliament today, President Paudel said encouraging achievements were made in a short span of installation of the present government. "Economic indicators are positive and the national economy is getting on the right track," he added.
In the recent time, positive impact was witnessed in revenue, foreign assistance and foreign investment, he said, adding that the foreign currency reserve has upped, interest rate on bank loans eased, and the process to include millions of Nepali migrant workers into social security scheme moved ahead.
"Government has moved ahead with a clear roadmap to bring in remittance via the formal channel and curb revenue leakage," President Paudel reminded, adding that public service delivery has also improved significantly.
