Preliminary discussion begins on MCC at task force meeting

KATHMANDU: A first meeting of the task force formed by the ruling coalition to reach a conclusion on Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) was held in Kathmandu, on Wednesday. The preliminary discussion began on the MCC compact at a meeting at CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Jhalanath Khanal's residence in Dallu, Kathmandu. The discussion has advanced positively, shared task force member and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki. The parties of the ruling coalition had formed a three-member task force to discuss with other political parties to reach a conclusion on MCC. The task force comprises leader Khanal, CPN (Maoist Centre) leader NarayanKaji Shrestha and Minister Karki. The task force has been mandated to hold necessary discussions with other political parties on the issues ranging from resuming the parliamentary procedure to advancing several agendas under-consideration at the parliament.
