President returns Citizenship Bill to HoR for reconsideration

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has returned the Bill on Nepal Citizenship to the House of Representatives (HoR) with her message that a review was needed on the issue of citizenship. In a press statement issued on Sunday evening, Spokesperson at the Office of the President, Sagar Acharya, said the bill prepared to amend the Nepal Citizenship Act, 2063 and submitted before the President for certification as per Article 113 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal after the endorsement from the Speaker has been returned by the  President along with a message for reconsideration from the Federal Parliament as per the Article 113 (3) of the Constitution.
