Favourite Shopping Destination

I shop according to my need. I do not have a favourite destination and am not a shopaholic. It depends on what I am buying and where I am at. But if I had to pick out one convenient place I would say Bhatbhateni Supermarket.

Vehicle

Once again, I am all about efficiency. The best vehicle for Kathmandu is a motor bike and I own a Bajaj Avenger Street 220 cc. I really am not into cars. I like bikes and may be one day I will own a Triumph Bonneville Bobber.

Gadget

I currently use Samsung Note 5. I love the s-pen feature that comes with this device and I make great use of it as well. As for a laptop, I am currently using Dell Inspiron 15 (5000 Series).

Eating Out

I am very much into spicy Newari food and a big fan of Thai and Mexican cuisine. Newari because although I am a Brahmin even my grandfather would bring home Newari food, and this love for Newari food is associated with my childhood memories and friends from Kathmandu. Thai food is spicy and uses many exotic ingredients and I love it. Mexican food because I lived in Texas for years and the closest taste to home cooked food was Mexican cuisine.

I smell of

Pure by Roberto Verino

I walk on

I have a Dochaa, some formals from Bentley, my jogging shoe, a couple of sneakers (Erke and 361 Degree) but I have always been a sucker for Chuck Taylors Converse shoes. I own a few of those.

On my wrist

I wear a Diesel DZ1467. Simple and comfortable. I am not into shiny heavy watches. I like it simple. When I am outdoors, I have a Casio sports swatch.

Shades

Versace Pilot

Travel Destination

I love adventures and trekking. I have completed many treks in Nepal –the Annapurna Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, Manaslu Circuit. In the Everest region- Gokyo Ri, Langtang, Gosaikunda, etc. With the family I love going to Pokhara or Chitwan. And for abroad, my favourite city is Amsterdam, Netherlands. It’s as chaotic as Kathmandu and has so much to offer in art, history and simply being one of the most liberal cities in the world. It’s a perfect combination of chaos and culture.

On my music playlist…

I listen to many genres but I have always been a fan of Rock and Heavy Metal music. Currently I have been listening to Rohit Shakya, Jindabaad, Audioslave and some electronic music by Bonobo and Gramatik.

The last book I read

I just finished ‘The subtle art of not giving a F@#K’ by Mark Manson and am currently half way through ‘Your Brain at work’ by David Rock.

My choice of poison

Of course coffee (Red Mud Coffee). I drink up about four cups of A grade Nepali Coffee on some days. I also enjoy beer (Craft Brew).

Favourite app

I have to say VIBER. My team really uses this app to communicate and it is very easy to use and makes communication fun.

Most visited website

Youtube.com. That is where I get all my entertainment from these days!

Greatest indulgence

My family, coffee, business and the mountains.
