Finance Minister directs secretaries to implement budget in stipulated time

KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat has directed the secretaries of the government to implement the budget for the current fiscal year in the stipulated time. At a programme organised by Finance Ministry on Wednesday, Minister Mahat asked the secretaries to place emphasis on budget implementation which will come into effect from July 31 onwards. He shared, "Bidding process of the projects having detailed project reports should be forwarded. Contract of the projects should be signed within November." He expressed the commitment that the Finance Ministry would clear all the receipts that are received within a month,  within 15 days. Minister Mahat directed the secretaries not to forward the projects without resource assurance. READ ALSO:
