KATHMANDU: Investment Board Nepal today signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dabur Nepal for the reinvestment in the construction, operation and management of the latter's capacity enhancement and diversification projects in the concept of private investment.
IBN CEO Sushil Bhatta and Dabur Nepal Business Head Harkirat Singh Bedi in the presence of Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies and member of Investment Board Nepal (IBN) Ramesh Rijal signed the MoU at a ceremony held at the office of IBN.
The 49th meeting of the Investment Board held on February 8, 2022, approved the investment for the capacity enhancement and product diversification of the industry. An additional Rs 9.66 billion will be invested as per the project proposal submitted by Dabur Nepal.
After signing the MoU, Dabur Nepal's Business Head Bedi expressed his happiness for the opportunity to invest for the capacity enhancement and capital increment of the industry.
Likewise, IBN CEO Bhatta asserted that the reinvestment on behalf of Dabur Nepal has restored the investors' trust and potential for business expansion in Nepal.
On the occasion, Industry Minister Rijal opined that the reinvestment by Dabur Nepal will convey a positive message among the investors and foreigners seeking to invest in Nepal.
