Newly appointed Education Minister Khanal sworn in

KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Minister for Education, Science and Technology Shishir Khanal has taken the oath of office and secrecy at a ceremony held at the Office of the President of Nepal today. A high-level political mechanism of the ruling coalition partners finalised the allocation of ministries. The meeting held at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu on Monday evening picked Rastriya Swatantra Party member Khanal and appointed him as Education Minister. Minister Khanal, who has experience working in the rural parts of Nepal in the education sector, strives for reform in the education system in the country.
