PM Dahal to address Nepal-China Business Summit in Beijing

BEIJING: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is currently on an official visit to the People's Republic of China, is scheduled to address the Nepal-China Business Summit in Beijing today.

The summit is set to be organised by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing (CCPIT), the umbrella organisation of Chinese industrialists and businesspersons, in coordination with the Embassy of Nepal in China.

PM Dahal, who is currently on an official visit to the People's Republic of China, arrived in Beijing today. He arrived in the Chinese capital at 11:00 am (local time) from Hangzhou where he attended the opening of the 19th Asian Games.

Prime Minister Dahal arrived in China on Saturday. He landed at Hangzhou Airport at 10:30 am (local time).

Chinese Minister for General Administration of Sports and Chinese Olympic Committee President, Gao Zhidan, welcomed Prime Minister Dahal at Hangzhou International Airport. Nepali Ambassador to China, Bishnu Pukar Shrestha, and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song, were also present on the occasion. Similarly, PM Dahal held a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Hangzhou city. During the meeting, different issues of Nepal-China relations and mutual interests were discussed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. PM Dahal also attended a luncheon hosted by the Chinese president in Hangzhou City. Other members of the delegation were also present at the reception.

Meanwhile, the PM is scheduled to address the Nepal-China Business Summit to be held in Beijing today. The Summit is organised by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and CCPIT, the umbrella organisation of Chinese industrialists and businesspersons, in coordination with the Embassy of Nepal in China.
