KATHMANDU: Visiting Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia, Tim Watts, today paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
During the meeting held at the Prime Minister's official residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu, matters relating to bilateral interests were discussed, the Prime Minister's Secretariat said.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister expected continuous support from the government of Australia and the people there for Nepal's development and prosperity. He also inquired about the status and issues of Nepali students in Australia.
The Prime Minister also extended an invitation to his Australian counterpart for a visit to Nepal.
The two also touched on issues ranging from the commercialisation of agriculture sector and development of agro-based industries to the promotion of tourism industry for Nepal's economic prosperity. The Australian assistant minister assured of continuous support from Australia to Nepal's development and prosperity campaign. ---
Earlier on Tuesday, the Australian assistant minister called on Foreign Minister Saud NP Saud at the latter’s office in Singha Durbar, Kathmandu.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two exchanged views on issues ranging from mutual interests to strengthening Nepal-Australia cooperation and partnership.
Tim Watts arrived in Kathmandu, on Tuesday in a two-day visit.
The Australian assistant minister is scheduled to attend several cultural, academic and other events with people from diverse sectors.
